The Power of Introduction

How RTGS Global Will Reshape Mauritius and the World

March 2026

I was on this beautiful island, thinking about one thing: what will I leave behind as a negotiator who came here to give the island a better future? I’m talking about Mauritius. Giving doesn’t always mean something material—I’m talking about the spark, the push, one little moment that can redefine everything. We had an event here on the island of Mauritius, and I thought one thing: if I can at least make it possible for one company or corporation to come here, introduce a new technology, and get the right connections and space to do it, I’ll create an eternal change—the kind of change no one forgets, the kind remembered through generations.

Introduction

Because real legacy isn’t in buildings or bank accounts—it’s in that single moment when someone sees a new possibility they never imagined before. One introduction, one conversation under the palms, one handshake while the sun sets over the lagoon… that’s enough to plant a seed. Years later people might say “it all started when that guy brought X company here,” and they won’t even remember your name—but the change will carry on, quietly reshaping lives, jobs, futures. That’s the kind of immortality I want.

Before I continue, I gotta tell you something you might need in your negotiator’s career: be careful with introducing someone to someone and becoming that middleman. It might work out amazingly or go badly depending on the situation, so weigh everything before making a move. Your action as a talented middleman will always start a chain of reactions you cannot stop. The same applies to your private life: before introducing yourself to a beautiful lady, think twice about what happens next. Before introducing your friend to another woman, think ten times—you are responsible for breaking chains and opening gates. The power of an introduction is always huge.

It’s like handing someone a lit match in a dry forest—you don’t get to decide whether it becomes a warm campfire or a wildfire. One “hey, you two should talk” can end in marriage, in business empires, in heartbreak, in lawsuits, in lifelong gratitude or lifelong grudges. The moment you connect two people, you become part of every future chapter of their story, whether you like it or not. So pause. Breathe. Ask yourself: am I ready to own whatever flame comes next?

Here We Go

And here we go: I sat down and analyzed Mauritius’s financial ecosystem. I saw the traditional international rails, domestic rails, and so on. But I didn’t see any real spark for someone here who wants a better way to move money around the world—say, give it 5 seconds and, no matter the currency or region, it’s already settled. No, I saw tradition in sending money abroad, I saw the issues with it, and I wanted to resolve that somehow—not directly, but by connecting the right people with the right people. This is the smallest thing I can do for this nation.

Because small connections can become massive waves. One fintech that lands here because of a single email or dinner conversation can suddenly make remittances feel instant instead of painful, can let small businesses pay suppliers across oceans without bleeding fees, can give families back days and nights they used to lose waiting for money to “clear.” That’s not charity—that’s dignity. And dignity travels faster than any wire transfer.

Some Rules to Remember

When you live as a resident in another country, always make sure you give something back to the people there. Why? Because those people accepted you, gave you the freedom you needed to flourish, and warned you that red lines exist everywhere. Another thing: if your stay is longer than 9 months, make sure you visit all the cities of that country. It’s important—you can be in a luxurious city and completely forget how others live elsewhere. The worst thing a man can do while living in another country is stay locked inside his own city. Why not visit other places? Why not see other people? Don’t get blinded by one location. Be a human of Earth, not a citizen tied to only 2–3 countries.

Traveling the island shows you the full heartbeat—Port Louis hustle, the quiet sugarcane fields, the fishermen in Grand Baie at dawn, the families in Curepipe dealing with rain and less glamour. Each place teaches you something the luxury hotels never will. You start understanding why people protect certain traditions so fiercely, why some changes feel like threats. You stop being a guest and start becoming part of the story. That’s when you earn the right to help shape it.

And my last personal advice to you: do not actively promote your personal beliefs—and especially your religion—unless you are a certified monk, priest, mullah, or sheikh. Religion is between you and God. Being careful here matters more than ever before. You cannot instill your beliefs in a country whose people see other beliefs as their cornerstone. Go to your apartment, do your necessary prayers, but always be good at keeping it private. No one needs clashes of beliefs. We are not here for that. We are here to build the place, make it prosper, dream about the future, and raise the next generation.

Safety Enables Progress

Safety Enables Progress

Because harmony is fragile and precious in a place like this—Hindu temples next to mosques next to churches next to quiet corners for meditation. Everyone knows the balance exists only because people leave each other space. When you push your truth too loud, even with good intentions, you risk cracking that balance. Better to live your faith quietly, let your actions speak, and let people feel safe around you. That safety is what lets progress happen.

So yeah, I drifted from the main topic. We had the event and I made it happen. Introductions with banks and financial institutions, government bodies—all went well. People got connected, they made deals (some we know about, some we don’t), but it’s still good—we are not omnipresent. They had drinks, they saw the Indian Ocean, they felt the serenity—a beautiful serenity, a wonderful serenity. The event was organized by other esteemed colleagues and all the credit goes to them. My job was to invite at least one company from abroad that could change things in the region by bringing better logic, systems, and technology to move money around. As the people at RTGS Global say themselves, money is just a bit of data, made of 0s and 1s—it shouldn’t be that hard to move it.

''And when that logic finally arrives here—fast, borderless, almost invisible—the island will feel it in small ways first: a vendor getting paid instantly from Europe, a student’s family sending tuition without losing half to fees, a startup closing its first international round in minutes instead of months. Those little wins stack up. They become confidence. Confidence becomes ambition. Ambition becomes a different future. That’s the chain I wanted to help start.'' — Eraj Alisherov, The Patriot

The End

''When I look at the mountains and the rain, at the peace of Mauritius, I understand how precious it all is. The people of this place—more than 1,300,000 of them—sometimes casually forget what they have when life gets busy. May the Lord protect Mauritius, and may Tajikistan be protected by Him too. Many things might happen in the future, but our goal is to focus on prosperity, peace, and building. That’s what matters.''

Eraj Alisherov, The Patriot

Because both places, in their own way, carry ancient souls inside modern struggles. Both deserve to keep their calm while reaching for more. Both remind me that peace isn’t the absence of problems—it’s the courage to solve them without losing the beauty. So I keep walking these shores and those mountains in my mind, asking the same question every time: how do I help without breaking what’s already good? That question is my compass.

So yeah, that's the end. If you made it this far to reach these last sentences, congratulations—you are a handsome man or beautiful woman who actually cares. We live on a small planet called Earth, and what we leave behind defines everything, alright? So it’s gotta be something.
